You should always reset the event log in solid state trip units after testing but unfortunately user manuals are not always available. This is an attempt to build a quick reference of solid state trip units and how to reset their trip log. This list will be updated periodically. Be sure to subscribe or bookmark for future use and feel free to reply with your contributions.

General Electric

EntelliGuard and MicroEntelliguard TU

Reset event log

Scroll to EVENT tab on main screen
Press UP and DOWN arrows simultaneously
Verify Event 0 is blank


MicroVersaTrip Plus and PM

Clearing the trip information

With the Trip Unit in Status mode, hold down the VALUE key and press the SELECT key. The trip information is then cleared and the display reverts to STATUS OK.

Clearing the Trip Operations Counter

To clear a particular counter, first display the corresponding count, then hold down the VALUE key and press the SELECT key. The trip counter is reset to zero.


Power+
Trip Targets - To determine the condition causing a breaker trip, press the VIEW button. One of the three target LEDs will light. The RESET button clears the trip target indication.

Clearing the Last Trip Data

No security key jumper wire
Press the REVIEW button to display the last trip data
Push and hold both UP and DOWN buttons
While still holding the UP and DOWN buttons, press the SAVE button
Release all three buttons
“NO LAST TRIP” is displayed


EATON / Cutler-Hammer

Digitrip models 1150, 1150i, 1150+, and 1150i+


No reset. The event data is stored in nonvolatile RAM and is maintained on a first-in, first-out basis.
