(WFLA) – Crews responded to an electrical fire Wednesday at Hudson’s Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, which knocked out power to the hospital.
A total of 209 patients, including 12 critically ill patients, have been evacuated overnight. The patients are being taken to other hospitals.
The fire was reported in the generator room around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, knocking out power to most of the hospital. Bayonet Point did not have enough backup power to safely operate.
