Winding test results on a motor indicate possible degradation when the output waveforms show:

A-Winding waveform symmetry
B- Noticeable difference in winding waveforms
C- Chopped waveforms on grounded windings
D- Chopped waveforms on phase ungrounded windings

Does anyone know what kind of winding test they are talking about? I got this question from someone who took the level 3 but I'm not sure if its word for word.

The answer is B - the waveforms should basically overlap one another in a clear symmetry. When one winding is shorted or is degraded, the waveform will have a similar shape, but does not overlap with the other good windings in the motor.
