Hi guys,
I’m a second year student who does electrical engineering.
Currently I’m working on a project which I need a relay to switch positive to negative if needed.
Basically it should automatically figure out if the positive and negative are connected properly if not then it switch the polarity automatically.
I did a lot of research but still couldn’t find anything.
Im going to use this relay to connect a lamp.
Any help and suggestion would be appreciated

There are a few variables missing in the equations, but a simple solution would use a DPDT relay with a polarity sensitive coil. Wire (+) to pole 1 NC contact, and (-) to pole 1 NO contact, wire (-) to pole 2 NC and (+) to pole 2 NO contact. Wire coil to the pole 1 & 2 common leads as well as the lamp load. Hope this helps.
