While I'm not yet a level II technician, all the guys I work with say that the neta ATS and MTS specifications are practically the bible to the level II examination.

Assuming you've taken OSHA 30 and NFPA70E within the past 2 years, I wouldn't focus much on safety as I hear the safety questions are nearly all common sense.

This site helps quite a bit. NEC also and OSHA. Experience helps. There were quite a few mathematical questions involving power and impedence as I recall.

Take the practice tests over and over again until you are comfortable with all of the questions. There were actually quite a few questions that were basically the same as in the practice tests. Know bolt grades, HRC levels and incident energies, basic electrical circuit theory and NETA inspection and test procedures.

Just passed my level 2 make sure your familiar with deviation tolerances for contact resistance, fuses, bolted connections per NETA. Hot glove classification, D.A.R. and P.I., Know your Bolt Chart. Work on theory and understand how to work with the formula's given. I'm not going to lie I thought the test was pretty broad and challenging.

Good Luck.
