What Formulas Are Provided on the NETA Exam?

I was told by coworkers that a formula sheet would be provided like the on screen calculator. When i took it last November the lady said she didn't know anything about it. I also saw in a post from April a gentleman said to know your formulas. Does anybody know if you do or do not get a formulas sheet, and if you provide an answer could you provide the date you took the exam. Thanks y'all.

For someone who hasn't played with these formulas before it can look a bit daunting so here is a cheat sheet I put together. hope it helps

I = Current in Amperes (A)
V = Voltage in Volts (V)
P = Power in Watts (W)
R = Resistance in Ohm (Ω)
Z = impedance = Resistance of AC Circuits in Ohms
Cosθ = Power factor = Phase difference between voltage and current in AC circuits
VL = Line Voltage

XL = Inductive reactance
XL = 2πfL…Where L = Inductance in Henry
XC = Capacitive reactance
XC = 1/2πfC… Where C = Capacitance in Farads.

Looks like they keep cutting down the allowable reference formulas, there used to be way more. I think you can find most of the old versions on here for reference. Whatever is currently on the NETA site is what you will get.

This was my experience last year taking the NETA III:

If you have never taken a test thru Pearson Vue, they make you empty your pockets and turn them inside out. They assign you a locker for your valuables, and they will escort you into a quiet testing room (with other individuals taking various exams other than NETA) where a computer, whiteboard and marker are waiting for you (that's your scratch paper). Once you log into your test, there is a download for a calculator simulator (I had a TI-36X Pro) and the equation sheet (2 pages pdf) on the instruction page. Then you click on start test and the timer is on the screen with accessible links to the equation sheet/calculator.

I think that is typical protocol today, but each test location operates slightly different (like the pocket check).
