Classification
A NETA Senior Certified Level IV electrical test technician supervises large projects and multiple crews and has the ability and knowledge required to work independently. These individuals perform complex investigations, tests, and evaluations, and prepares written reports as needed.
ETT certified individuals are "hands-on" field testing technicians. These technicians shall be trained concerning the hazards, components, nominal voltages, operating characteristics, and limitations of electrical power and electrical power systems.
Requirements
Candidates shall complete sufficient organized training to enhance his/her knowledge and skills in the area of electrical testing and necessary training requirements applicable to Level IV.
The candidate shall have a minimum of ten years of experience in the electrical testing industry, have a minimum of 40 hours additional safety training, and have a minimum of 200 hours of additional training related to the certification element categories for Level IV listed.
This experience will have to be verified by your employer by using a form similar to the one found in Appendix A of ANSI/NETA ETT-2010.
