Can you follow written instructions?

One very important skill that is required when working around electrical equipment is the ability to follow written instructions. Seems simple enough, right? Just remember, one wrong move can prove to be deadly. To test your skills, give this exercise a try...


Read all of the instructions before doing anything, you are allowed 10 minutes to complete the entire task.

1. Grab a pen and paper.
2. Write your name at the top of the paper.
3. Write the numbers 1 through 5, one per line.
4. Draw five squares beside #1.
5. Check off the third and fifth circles next to #1.
6. Write the word 'subdermatoglyphic' beside #2.
7. Turn the paper over and solve the following: 5 x 15. Show your math!
8. Draw a large circle in the lower left-hand corner of the paper.
9. Draw a X inside the circle you just made.
10. Underline the name you wrote in step 2.
11. Attempt to say the word you wrote in step 6 out loud.
12. Draw a triangle next to #4.
13. Count the number of words in this step and add that number to the answer you got in step 7.
14. Draw a small circle around #1.
15. Using your pen, poke 3 small holes anywhere in the paper.
16. Write your favorite word beside #4.
17. Note today's date on the upper right hand corner of the paper.
18. Draw a anywhere on the paper for every letter 'a' you have written.
19. Stand up and say 'I AM FINALLY FINISHED' and give yourself a pat on the back.
20. Now that you have read through each written step, skip all of them except the first two! If you have followed the instructions correctly, you should only have your name written at the top of the paper!
