When I took the level 3 there was a basic calculator on screen. When I say basic, I mean basic. They also gave me a table with the sine / cosine of every angle on it which was nice. When I took the Level II a few years ago I was able to bring a basic calculator with no memory functions. Take one anyway, worst thing that will happen is they will tell you that you cant take it in with you.

Several years ago, you had to bring your own calculator to the exam but it could only have basic scientific functions and no memory. They have since moved to an on-screen calculator. Per the official NETA website:

Test candidates are provided access to an onscreen, scientific calculator during their exam. Test candidates are not permitted to bring an outside calculator into the exam environment. http://www.netaworld.org/certificati...ion/calculator
You can practice with the calculator that will be provided on the computer terminal during your exam here: http://www.iqttesting.com/samplecalc/index.htm
