Does anyone a procedure for testing watthour meter or can explain how to test them
#1-If you have a dedicated Whr test set it is easiest.
#2-With a 3 Phase Relay Test set as a source and a separate reference meter will work well
#3 Omicron has equipment that works quite well with various adaptors to sense IR/LED pulse or KYZ from meter and does not need a separate reference.
#4 Old school, single phase "phantom load". A variac, large power resistor and reference meter.
#5 The Radian equipment is well respected and the price reflects that. There are certain very high accuracy class meters that will require a Radian.
You can rent all of the above equipment.
The tests are (from memory)
Full Load 100% Power Factor
50% Load 100% Power Factor
Light (10% of CT Sec) 100% Power Factor
Full Load 50% Power Factor
50% Load 50% Power Factor

Typical Test Registers are 1.8
DUT pulses are compared after a certain duration. Calculate % difference = 100- (% difference)=% Registration
