    Can anyone identify this substance?

    That looks like there may have been a leak and someone used a two part epoxy to make a repair. Is that a valve or a tap into the oil tank? Is the substance hard or goowy? I have had to make repairs to fins before, small pin holes, but never whole valves like that.
