    Which device would you use as a main switch?

    Which device would you most likely find used as a main switch on a 4000A low voltage switchgear installation?
    The correct answer is BPS.
    What BPS stands for?

    I highly recommend the Paul Gill book, Electrical Power Equipment Maintenance and Testing.

    Section 8.5, page 441/442 goes into some detail about high pressure bolted switches.
