    Inductor current full value time

    A coil has an inductance of 3 H and a wire resistance of 15 ohms. How long will it take for the current to reach its full value?

    TC=L/R
    5x TC=agreed to be essentially full value or steady state.

    Had the right answer, test guy didn't like it

    I agree with your tip, the time constant should be 0.2 seconds and it should be fully charged at 1.0 seconds. I answered 1 and got it wrong so I'm guessing the question is written for the time constant to be the answer (0.2)
