Low voltage cable minimum megohm value per NETA MTS

Not that this comes up much but have recently been testing service age 600V rated cable. I see MTS states "Insulation-resistance values should be comparable to previously obtained results and similar
circuits but not less than two megohms"

But I've had guys tell me to use 100 megohms because of table 100.1.

There's a couple caveats with this testing. Most techs will state LV cable shall be comparable with previous test values but not fall below minimum 100M as per Table 100.1. But if you reference MTS Section 7.3.2.D.2, it states:
Insulation-resistance values should be comparable to previously obtained results and similar circuits but not less than two megohms.

Therefore, LV cables shall not fall below 2 megohms.
