This question is messed up I think, I may also just be dumb. the question reads:
The speed regulation of a DC motor is directly proportional to the:
a. Applied voltage
b. Load torque
c. Armature resistance
d. Field resistance
Speed regulation is not a quality, it is what happens because
The speed of the motor is directly proportional to supply voltage.
The speed of the motor is inversely proportional to the armature voltage drop.
Speed of the motor is inversely proportional to the flux due to the field windings
Thus, the speed of a DC motor can be controlled in three ways:
By varying the supply voltage
By varying the flux, and by varying the current through the field winding
By varying the armature voltage, and by varying the armature resistance

I think the question was meant to be written "The speed of a DC motor is directly proportional to the:" which would make the answer A. I have tried C so far, next time i see the question I will try A and see if that gets it correct and then I'll update this.
